He's board eligible.....

Yay!! I'm so excited and happy for my husband. He's in the Navy and has been for 10.5 yrs now. We just found out yesterday that he passed his chief's exam and is board eligible for Chief! So. Like many others, he'll be putting in for Chief again this year. I am so happy!!! Hopefully he will pick it up this year, but if not, that is okay too. I'm just happy he's eligible!!!

Congrats to all the other wives who have hubbies that are board eligible!!!!

Work... work... work...

Well, we are still working hard on our place. We got the living room flooring done. Got the furniture back into place and moved the other two rooms into that room, in order to do them two room. We're redoing the walls in the family room, thankfully!! I'm not sure tho, on the color, it's a dark grey color, called Chimney Smoke, the room gets alot of light so I think it will be okay. But I am excited, I want to get it done. When the hubby is home helping I'm a fast worker, but when I'm here alone, it takes me forever. It's not as much fun alone. Haha.. so needless to say, the remodel is moving slowly. Slowly, but surely!!! I hope to be back to normal soon! I don't like having our house a total wreck, things out of place, but it will be totally worth it, in the end.

Heavy Stuff....

After a trip to Lowe's and back, packing in a truck load of flooring, my arms and legs are tired. Whoo, we're remodeling our master bathroom and then four room floors. We got alot of work ahead of us and we're still just two weeks into the project. I will be glad when it's done! I don't mind the hard work, I just can't stand the mess in the house it makes.



Anyways, I'm not complaining, but I am tired. Haha.. I can't wait till it's done!!! It will look so much nicer in here!

Black & White

It's hard to do a black and white floral and it still look good. I personally LOVE black and white, but here is a floral I did, and turned black & white. It's one of my favorite, I have so many more, but these are my favorites.

It's raining, a pouring...

... the old man's a snoring.

We've all heard that song at least once before. Maybe when we were younger.
It's rained here for the last three days. And I couldn't help but to play in it, for a second anyways. I took several pictures, with my Kodak EasyShare, I wasn't about to get out there in the rain, with my Canon. But this is the only one that was in focus, and that I liked.



It's snowing ouside now. It's the FIRST REAL snow we've had in Virginia, since moving here in May of 2006. So it's really cold outside and the roads are messy. It's not too bad, it's nothing like we get in Kentucky. But it's the first time it's snowed since we've been here. We have a few flurries here and there, where it might reach the ground and melt as soon as it hits. But this... is SNOW!!!




It's too cold for me, so those are as good as the pics get, the snow is just coming down like crazy. It's a pretty thick looking mess, so I don't wanna go walking around in it, trying to get pics, maybe after it stops. Haha...
