Cypress stumps...

Here in Virginia, you will find alot of cypress tree stumps. Beautiful actually, sticking out of the ground, some have just amazing shapes and holes and such. We went fishing this last Sunday, on the Nottoway River, in Virginia. I got several shots, but have one that sticks out to me most.

Summer time photography...

I don't get out much in the winter, quite frankly, I hate to be cold. That means, with summer time, I will be and about more often. Tho.. when we go fishing or biking, I won't be carrying my large camera around. You will probably see most of my work done in my Kodak EasyShare. If I drop it in the water, or it gets ran over by a car, it's not as much money lost.

We went fishing at Lake Airfield, Virginia, I think it was called. There is an old house there, I think it use to be a gas station and grocery store. It's empty now. It's falling apart. I got a couple of shots I like the other day and wanted to share.

Summer time's a coming...

Yes, you heard right, summer time is a coming! That means fishing season! We've already gotten a start on it! We got the boat finished, it went from empty flimsy hull to a finish, sturdy product on a trailer. It actually looks rather nice.

We have already been out in the boat, three times. My husband caught the first fish of the year! Go Brent!! (it was rather small tho... haha)

Then ofcourse, he spends MORE time in the trees and logs then he does fishing. Seriously. He can not cast worth squat. I think I will be the one teaching our kids to cast.... poor fellow. Always tangled up.

Chocolate peanut butter cups....

No, not Reese's peanut butter cups, but I like those. Don't get me wrong. But I am talking about Walmart's Great Value brand, chocolate peanut butter cups. They are so yummy. You must get a bag of them and try them, to judge for yourself. I love to put them in the fridge and let them cold, and eat one or two at a time. They're yummy.

But my favorite thing to do, is put them in the fridge, let them cold, take them out, cut them in half(cutting from side to side), and put them in the freezer. Cook your peanut butter cookies, remove them from the oven before they get 100% done, let them cool for a couple of minutes, and then take the cut up pb cups from the freezer and put one, in the top of each cookie! You can also do with this with peanut butter cupcake(just cookie dough, in cupcake holders, about 2/3 full) and use a whole pb cup. You can google photos of the finished product, they're everywhere.

However, I was telling my good friend Monica about them, and how she should try them. But when I went to google for a photo of them, not ONE showed up, I googled every combination I coud think of. I am sure, someone, somewhere, has posted a photo, but I couldn't locate it. So... I bought myself a bag and took my own photo. This way, when I tell someone they should get a bag and try them, I can show them a photo of what to look for! They're in expensive, I like $2 for the bag. You can find them in the candy section at Walmart, alot of the times, on the bottom shelf.

Here is a photo.. so you can look for them next time you're at Walmart!

Have you ever...

Have you ever just rode down the road, in the passenger seat, just appreciating the beautiful weather, the clouds, the trees, and the wind. It's a moment in life, where you stop and breath easy, and just enjoy it. I got a few photos the other day, and I wanted to share them. I was very careful not to lose my camera going down the road, I only had my arm and camera hanging out of the window, so it's not like I was hanging waist deep. Thankfully my husband didnt' smack my arms into any mailboxes, haha..

March Flowers....

On the way home from town the other day, we saw a bunch of deer standing in the field, down the road from our house, my husband, being the hunter he is, said "look deer!!" So I stopped the car, on the little back road, leading to our house. My husband jumps out of the car and runs over the other side, and comes back with some March flowers!!! I'd rather have something like that, picked, and the thought of it, rather than some expensive ones, that are just gonna die anyways!! Anyways.. here is a photo, finally, he's learning! haha...
